The best web site that tells you what the troops want is AnySoldier. There, the troops themselves leave messages and wish lists. Some want penpals, some need care packages for themselves or for their units. I highly recommend it because you know exactly what they want and who it's going to. It will give you their address and the items will go directly to them, not some agency to spread them around. This site is dedicated to men and women in all branches of the military.

Thanks for your willingness to support our troops!!

Being a former soldier that was in the desert once I can help you with a few suggestions. FIrst off make sure you get the list of banned items from the post office. now on the items that they would want, Just think of the items that you would need everyday

Hygiene
1. Qtips
2. Soap and Shampoo
3. Lotions or creams
Daily Needs
Paper and pens
Newspapers
Magazines
Food Items
Think of the basics
Kool AId to help with the 6 gallons of water a day
Peanut Butter and Jelly
think of the basic things that we can get on a daily basis that they cannot. Most troops will appreciate whatever you can think of, Once you have written to them they may ask for more personnel things,.

GOOD LUCK

Dear Abby has a whole site devoted to that. You can send messages directly and whatnot.

comfort foods, something homemade. but i'm sure they would appreciate just about anything that you send them because it is from home and it is from someone who cares about them.
