Yes. There is already a ban on the conduct of government servants in India but certain Muslim government servants indulge in polygamy on the plea of religious rights, but that is illegal. Hence, it is high time that the government should extend it to the general public so that the status of women in general is well secured in the eyes of law.

I believe this practise usually leads to the exploitation of women. It is a left over from the worst forms of patriarchal behaviour in human society and represents a giant step backward to the full equality of men and women in a post colonial civilization.

Group sex is not banned in Western countries, however, they want polygamy to be banned in the Eastern countries. I say, wait until the group sex is banned in the West.

I dont think polygamy is offensive, rather I believe it is beneficient. If it was allowed, there would not be adultary and the society would have been much more stable than it is right now, based on egoistical law.

who are we to assume that this wasnt the way things were intended

only when they marry family memebers and children other than that who cares how many wives and huisbands you got.
