It's made from cod liver as that where the fish store the vitamin...highest concentration held in the liver, thats why, if you're desperate and in the north pole, and catch a polar bear, don't eat its liver as there's too much Vitamin C and enough to kill a human!

Yes it's an oil refined from cods liver...it is what it says on the bottle !!

I think if you wanted to make up a source for your foodstuff you wouldn't choose a cods liver, would you ?

You'd say it was pressed from the finest frangrenced Thai rose petals or something.

it's actually calf liver oil. you see hardly anybody in Britain eats calf's liver, it is all the touchy feely types saying "Ah look at the bonny little calves" so it all goes to Switzerland for snitchel,only there's a surplus because cows have to have babies in order to give milk so they thought we can fool people by calling it cod liver oil and telling them it's good for them.

Yeah course, why else would it be called cod liver oil??? I don't know really - s'pose could be herring oil but don't quite have the same ring do it !!!
