This is exactly my point..... ummm was Christ born at a time when there were.... secular movies, cars, or half of the things we have today? Come on get serious.... we are Christ like in our ways as human beings feeding the hungry, loving the unloved, finding justice for victims of injustice, loving even you when you don't love us, spreading the word of God, forsaking all others for him, not sinning against God's people, praying, trusting in God, and living according to his word.

A messge to "Secret Asian Man" It is not the christian faith, it is not the bible, that says people are required to give up all material things and forbides a person to watch television, or to go to the movies.

The only religion that forbides an attachment to material things is Buddhism.

buddhism does have many good things in it, for example "Mindfulness Meditation", which started in the Buddhist religion.

Material things are not in themselves bad. Its the pursuit of these material things to the detriment of spiritual things that's what the bible condemns. There are still some fine moveis without negative undertones which a christian can watch selectively. Being Christlike does not necessarily mean depriving yourself of things in life its being content with whatever you have and are able to afford

Many claim to be spiritual and are not. Women, being more attuned to spiritual things
by thier nature, are checking me out left and right lately. Because I'm on a major
mission for the Lord, and it has elevated my personal power.
But just that quick, it goes to the material level. And they see I don't have nice clothes and money, because I'm partially disabled now. And thier nose goes up in the air.
Not that I'm picking on women alone, that's just an example.
I don't know about the CHOSEN, but the faithful are FEW.

Good morning Mr Clueless... being "CHRIST like" simply means walking in love toward both GOD and man, period...as for secular movies there are plenty of them that are not filled with filth, you just have to look back a few years...

Because the Bible says that just before the return of Christ the church will fall away from the faith and become "apostate" and Christians will become very worldly. We are seeing it increasingly in the church today and the church is becomming more and more filled with deceived people who think that they can just do whatever they like and sweet kind loving God will just forgive them.

We need to be careful of what we watch.

I do not say that all non-Christian movies are evil, but most are not good.
