To open the door and pull out the chair is one thing, to honk the horn on your car, whistle, make rude comments and smack a girl on the @ss is not chivalry. In fact that is not acceptable and is very vulgar.
I'm not saying all men are like this and I do know the difference between a gentleman and an idiot, I have had a gentleman help me put powersteering fluid in my truck, saying "there's no point in getting such a pretty dress dirty" and I didn't think that was sexual harrassment. I thought that was sweet.
Not all of us are like that, so for the few of us that like old fashion gentlemen, thank you to the men that (even in a world that women practice independence) still make an effort to practice chivalry and charm.

OVERTLY SENSITIVE!!! You call our reaction to sexual harrassment as overly sensitive? I find it funny that women blame men that chivalry is dead, but that doesn't mean we should make ourselves easy and give it up all the time. Its men like you who make this bad. My boyfriend is a gentleman and he's nothing getting any from me. Just b/c you are a jerk doesn't make everyone so. Just b/c women sometimes feel the need to be treated right doesn't mean they're willing to give it up. You apparently didn't grow up w/ women or you would know what they really are like. Dumbass.

Anyone who refers to himself in the third person, refers to all women as babes, and puts all women in the same category just screams arrogance and confirms the belief that chivalry is 6 feet under.

I, as a man would have to disagree with you. i still open the door for my wife, buy her flowers, and cards just because I love her. But, at the same time, i have noticed that a lot of men have forgotten that lost trade of Chivalry.

Perhaps if "babes" acted like ladies, they'd be treated with more respect. As far as I'm concerned, chivalry is alive and well.

I don't blame men for chivalry being dead. I thank my feminist foremothers for killing it. What do we need with chivalry when we can do practically everything you can do? In my opinion, chivalry IS sexual harassment.
