the fuse blew and now the radio says "safe" and then "10 ----"
help, i can't afford a new car radio this close to christmas.

Safe means that when the fuse blew, the radio though it may have been stolen. It is in a safe mode waiting for a proper code to activate the radio, and only the proper owner should be able to retrieve the code. It may be in the owner's manual. If not, you'll need to contact Grundig to retrieve the code. Here is a link to the European website technical support. You may need to provide some sort of proof of ownership, but they'll be able to tell you which hoops to jump through.

if the fuse blew u have a short....what were u doing when it blew? Are u using the right fuse(amps)? something obviously works if the display comes on. Does the radio have an acrid smell? ud better hope not :-) a simple ammeter test will tell u if the fuses ur using are carrying the current
