I would recommend cutting the beer to a minimum and switching to mixed drinks to maintain the low carb intake. I am sure you have seen the Bacardi commercial that says Bacardi and Diet Coke has 0 carbs and 0 calories. Try that or something similar to that if you like something a little stronger than beer. Other than that, keep doing what you are doing and good luck losing the excess pounds.

That's too much beer. Beer is between 120 and 210 calories per bottle. Four beers - if you drink the good stuff - is like have a burger.

Beer is just another carb. Except for the work it does on your liver, there is nothing wrong with having (1 or 2) beers a day. It's actually healthy for you. Just watch your calorie count.

I would suggest you nix the beer for a while and switch to vodka; no tonic water, no juice, no soda (except club). Vodka on the rocks, with fresh fruit squeezed into it. Drink a lot of coffee too as I have found it is an appetite suppressant and drink tons of water.

trying to lose weight and beer drinking should never be in the same sentence. that's like saying a healthy smoker. beer is fattening and can slow down metabolism, and so your body will hold on to the foods you ate that night and the beer longer than your used to. with your metabolism slowed down you will have to work extra hard to burn off the added stored fat and re-energize you metabolism.

Besides killing a million brain cells, each beer turns directly into potbelly fat. The older you get and the more your metabolism slows down, the more (higher % beer into fat) that's true. So it's a choice. Leave out ALL alcohol and you'll drop weight faster.
