I have recently heard that frozen veggies can be better for you because they are frozen at a point where they can lock in the most nutrients. However, are certain nutrients destroyed/denatured when frozen that are considered important for a healthy diet?

Fresh vegetable are always the best and they are better consummed fresh. Frozen veggies ok but not for too long. Vitamin C in vegetables is unstable and can easily be destroyed by exposure to light and but cutting/shredding and washing. Always wash before shredding veggies.

If you have a garden and eat them straight after picking I would have to say that is best. Because we can't have a garden always handy, I would try to find a farm or a local farmers market.

I have frozen vegtables. You must blanche them for at least 3 minutes, submersion in boiling water. Thus killing any germs on the vegetable but also taking some nutrients with it, as the water in the pot will have a slight color of the vegetable.

Untainted veggies are best. Keep up the healthy lifestyle.

Unless you grow it or buy it directly from the farmer, frozen is fresher then fresh. I have heard that microwaving and other ways to cook them can destroy some nutrients.

Frozen is better because it is frozen right away, whereas "fresh" veggies have been in transit for several days.

Studies have shown there is minimal differences between fresh and frozen, or even canned, for that matter
