I have very bad receding gums that are red, bleed, and puffy. I haven't been to the dentist in about 4 years due to no insurance. Anyone ever heard of Vita-myr as a natural remedy to help your gums? Does it work? Is there any suggestions on toothpastes, remedies, etc. to heal bleeding gums?? PLEASE HELP!

Don't depend on "natural remedies". Many of them are just snake oil. Instead, start by brushing and flossing at least twice a day.

Then go see a dentist any way. If you explain up front that you don't have insurance, but can pay some monthly, they may take you in as a patient. Or they will definitely know other options for treatment that you can check into.

Check with the local county health department, or whatever the local equivalent is. Many times dentists volunteer their services for low income patients, or do so for reduced rates. If there's a dental school, or dental assistant program at the local college, often they will do basic exams and cleanings for a low fee.

Bottom line - you gotta do something. The poster at the dentist's office is true: "If you ignore your teeth, they will go away."
