What do you find if anything to like about us Christians? And if you can find nothing you like about us as Christians, do you like any of us as simply human?

Pandora, I think you misunderstood the question. I was asking about Christians in general as opposed to my personality. I do not know you well enough to want your opinion of my personality.

I dont think there is a problem with being christian, a lot of the christians I know are well rounded people, and mostly the same as any one of us. Its only when you meet very devout christians who are very close minded to anything else but God, and insist you should worship him. Thats when the problems start. Everyone is entitled to their belief, but dont force that belief on others

There really isn't anything I like about Christians, or Christianity, in *general*.

Every thought I came up with, I could think of some Christians that had that trait, and some that did not.

Any traits that I could think of that *were* more all-encompassing were traits I dislike, which makes sense -- after all if I found it *that* appealing I *be* one.

Now as "humans" it is a completely different matter. There are many, many Christians whom I like. I just don't care for their religion.

I know I'll get blasted for this answer, but I am trying to be honest. I say quite often that I don't like to make generalizations, but this question kind of forces a generalization.

I like or dislike *individuals*.

I dont have a problem with Christians at all. Christians are just people who believe differently than me but I still like many Christians I know and respect some of them. This is not about liking people but feeling and knowing that what they beleive isnt for me.

Some of you do honestly try to live as Christ did, in a non judgmental peaceful sort of way. Most Christians use their knowledge of the truth to propagate a message of hate, or intolerance that is not like Christ.

I'm not overfond of any people however, Christians included

The first sign a species is becoming sentient is when they have evolved to the point where they can abstract enough to invent a god. The first time a species achieves sentient maturity is when they get rid of their gods. To be fully human, one has to get past the need to give meaning to ones life through silly made-up god concepts and if you haven't accomplished this yet, you can only be classified as pre-Human or Proto-Human. We are at a point in Evolution where the next step is an intellectual leap, and you are welcome to join that segment of society that has reached Human-hood if you are bright enough.

just because someone doesn't believe in a particular God or God at all, does not mean that they don't like Christians. I think people that INSIST that one religion is the only way and that EVERYONE else is wrong are the ones that people don't like. They give Christians a s a whole a bad name

There's too much variation in the way people interpret and use their beliefs to point to anything I especially like or respect that could honestly be applied to any group.

Trying to point out such a feature is like asking if there's anything I especially like or dislike about people who wear hats.

I like or dislike people based on their behavior, their mannerisms, and their overall attitude. Religion is only relevant if people are using it as an excuse to expose the more base aspects of their nature.

Would you believe it if I told you that I'm a christian and my girlfriend an atheist? I respect her beliefs even though I don't agree with them. Besides, I think God put me in her life for a reason, and I'm slowly, gently, persistantly yet patiently coaxing the love of God into her. That's the only way to do it. Treat an atheist right and you may just convince them that - if the love of God is in YOU - then the God they don't believe in really exists, and you just may have accomplished what God origionally sent you to do....

Actually Christians have much to be admired. Not only are they truly dedicated to their faith, their Christian societies are one of the best networks (gossip central). They also have great disciplines, draggin their bodies to church (some of them), while the atheist still blissfully snoozing in their beds. While they preach like irritating mosquitos, it was in their most sincerest wishes to share what they deemed as the only way to salvation with the rest of the population (although they should back off). Damn, am i converting???

Do you mean what do you like about you as Christians. That would mean we would have to distinguish the parts that make you different from non-Christians. I don't particularly like any of those parts. I like all human beings though.
