Well, if you drop an M&M on the floor and your dog eats it, it won't die. If you come home one day and see a few Hershy bar rappers on the ground and your pooch is making strange groaning noises, he/she might be in trouble. If you think your dog has eaten more chocolate than a few M&M's, take him/her to a vet right away. Also, remember to keep all chocolate off of the counter and other places that are dog accesable. Hope this helps!

Chocolate is toxic for a dog. My little dog ate chocolate while I was away and I thought for sure it was going to die. He was very sick. Vomited a huge amount and that is probably why he didn't die.

There's a very special quantity they are allowed to withstand and it varies with exceptional types of chocolate. Unsweetened chocolate will mess a canine up. White chocolate now not as a lot and milk is the safest, but it's all bad. Maintain chocolate far from 'em - it is poisonous to puppies.

Chocolate in large amounts is not good for your dog, it can be considered toxic if he has too much. That said, don't flip out everytime you accidently leave chocolate within his reach and he gets to it. My dog eats chocolate and it has never made him sick and he is still living, we just make sure he doesn't get it on purpose.

yes, choclates can cause dogs to die. This is due to the byproductwhen cocoa is broken down in the body.
It destroys their red blood cells.
theoretically a bit will not kill, but always be aware and aleert. a few M n Ms can kill aq samll dog. if u really want to give them choclate , give the dog variety or the white chocolate.
while we are at this topic, do not give them too much nuts to eat, as it can cause poisoning as well

It depends on the size of the dog and the amount and kind of chocolate.
Go here and read this. It will tell you what levels are dangerous:

Please note that just because a dose isn't toxic, doesn't mean the dog won't get sick.

Yes, chocolate is hazardous for dogs and it kills them. Keep chocolate away from them. Given in small amounts occassionally, it does not harm them, but given in excessive quantities, they may die.
