I've seen a few around, just wondered if anyone could recommend any particular one for Nuchaku or Nunchucks, whichever way you spell it. I dont need the weapon itself, just the dvd, i have no experience at all in using weapons but do train in karate

there are tons of great dvds out there, check out these sites to find the best nunchuka video that's right for you:

http://www.shopblackbelt.com/
http://www.turtlepress.com/
http://www.paladin-press.com/
http://www.centuryfitness.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&categoryId=13753&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=13501

plus you're in luck, most distributors are having a sale on vhs media, so if you don't mind gettting a vhs, you can get an instructional tape for $5!!! great price compared to original prices of most -$29.99- huh!!

also if you want to rent dvds/videos, you can go to this website, it's like netflicks for martial artists:

http://www.goldstarvideo.com/

hope one of these sites has what you're looking for!!!

nunchuku are one of the most worthless weapons ever made.

total crap, no defence and it isn't nearly as lethal as the european equivalent chain weapon the flail. At least the flail was designed to get around shield or weapon guard, maybe the nunchaku was designed so two gays could sit on something at dinner and stay "connected".

If you want to learn a weapon, find a teacher. Make sure you spar. believe it or not weapon sparring is usually safer than unarmed because people respect the weapon and wear appropriate gear because it can easily be surmised that one hit is fatal. With the nunchucks that is not likely the case though.

Check awma.com (Asian World of Martial Arts), they usually have a good line of DVD's.

I think Fumio Demuera (he's very good @ weapons forns and such) has a couple of videos out on Nunchaku techniques that might be useful

forget the dvd and learn the natural flow through regular practice.
all the spinny stuff is nothing more than distraction, only the striking of the intended target counts.
