Not a subject I know a great deal about, but I would go into the history of it. How the French settled the province, how they lost it to the English (I think it was as a result of wars in Europe) and how the English allowed the French to carry on with their own laws and customs, thus giving rise to modern Quebec. I think that would be a good beginning.

I don't know but I've been there and although they all know English they pretend they don't and speak to you in French the shauvinistic b***ds and if you don't understand French (like me) it is very frustrating. So I was swearing at them in good old English and they understood, of course, but they wouldn't admit it, so that served them right!
