uncles are the fun ones that never tell you off and let you get away with murder!!! they play with you and are always the good guy .. so that when mum and dad go out and uncle is left with the kid .. they play all sorts of games and eat junk and stay up late and then when the paretns get hom he gets told off .. heehee

They can be as important to a child as anyone else is. Especially when the child has a single mom who spends a lot of time around her family. It's good too because it's another male influence in the child's life if the father is not around often.

he doesn't have to be anything. I have a great uncle, which is actually my husband's uncle and I didn't have him until I was 17. My real uncle is a total a $ $, he only cares about himself and gives his wife only 25 dollars a week to survive. While he spend the rest on his truck. I have two real brothers and two brother in laws. My real ones are in ohama, nebraska, and australia. The brother in laws are here were I live and in california. None of them care much for the children I have.

I dont understand, do you mean emotionally or financially. And unlce can be a great person in a child's life, giving days out and fun times, he can also be a good baby sitter :)
