Wash them, cut the ends off, place in microwave safe container with a little water, cover with plastic wrap, pierce the wrap with a sharp knife half a dozen times, place in microwave and cook on a vegetable setting for a couple of minutes, depending on the amount of sprouts you are preparing. Add a small dob of butter, salt and pepper and serve while hot.

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and may be the key seat of the Belgian Royal Family and, also the capital of the European Union and if you wish to know it then this is actually the place hotelbye . Brussels is an incredibly little, easy-going, and human-sized city for many its importance. Unlike anthers city using their hordes of tourists, Brussels is Belgium's major financial and educational link, gives the town a more workaday feel than other towns. Here, in Brussels, if you'd decide to see, you will get a proper feel for Belgian living, specially its excellent cafe and café culture. Although Brussels may not need the star attractions of other Belgian towns, the capital has more than enough to keep visitors entertained for a few days with a clutch of world-class museums and art galleries, in addition to quirkier views like the Atomium, and some great remnants of previous structure in the old city quarter.

I am not fond of microwave cooking, but here is a great brussel sprout recipe for you. I hate brussel sprouts but I actually ate 2 helpings of this lol.
1 lb. brussel sprouts
1/2 medium onion, diced
1/2 TBLSP. butter
2 fl. oz. chicken stock
3 oz. gruyere cheese
2 TBLSP. cream
1 teaspoon corn starch
Paprika to taste
1. Clean and wash the brussel sprouts. Cut a notch in the bottom of the sprout.
2. Dice onion. Braise the onion in butter until translucent. Add the stock and brussel sprouts. Cover and let simmer for 25 minutes.
3. Whisk the cream and corn starch. Add to the brussel sprouts. Blend in and bring to a boil. Add additional stock if needed.
4. Remove from the heat. Grate cheese. Put brussel sprouts in casserole dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in preheated oven until golden. Sprinkle with paprika as a garnish.
I'd bake at about 350 or so.

Just a little water in a micro wave safe bowel, add sprouts and cover with another bowl. Cook on high for 6 minutes drain and serve. If your British, cook for 15 minutes until it mushes up to a pulpy mess, the way you like them.

I love brussel sprouts, but only eat them at Christmas. If i was you i would just cook them on the hob on Christmas day, they smell anyway, but something tells me if you re-heat them on the hob they'll smell even more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once you've cooked them put them in a dish with a nob of butter on top so they don't dry out, cover it with foil and stick it in the oven on the bottom shelf!
Good luck.

Ah, sprouts! Why do so many people hate them?
They are best boiled, but if you put them in a microwaveable container with a loose-fitting lid, just covering them with water you can microwave them, but only for a few minutes (and keep checking them). There's nothing worse than a brownish, mushy sprout!

I would skip the microwave and use a steamer if you have one, I find they turn out better that way, as everyone else suggests do not overcook... they lose any texture when you overcook them. Try serving with just butter or try a recipe from here...

Yes you can cook them in the microwave. Just cover with enough lightly salted water and cook until tender and serve with salt, pepper, and drawn butter or Hollandaise sauce.

Yes, sprouts can indeed b e reheated. But cook them slightly underdone, drain off and plunge into cold water. When you are ready to reheat, drain off, add a knob of butter and microwave.
Alternatively, reheat using thsi recipe for Glazed Brussels Sprouts:
