It seems to me that if you're in the market for a mate that you would want to dress and look the part. Most of the time when we see people who fancy themselves up, it's strictly for the admiration of others. Are we all so susceptible to the attention of others that we will go to great lengths to get it. Although I will argue that if you choose to look or dress in a "certain fashion" you lose the right to complain when people do pay you what you consider to be unwelcomed attention.

I think the people who basically know they're attractive probably have been their whole lives, so it all started when they were little (i.e. people saying "look at how cute he/she is) so they've come to rely on their looks and we all know that the body changes with time, so they notice the changes more than people who've had obstacles to overcome their whole lives. (Only my opinion and I'm not bashing anyone. I believe ALL people have our own personal attractiveness.)

Because they get bullied in school and beat up by jealous boyfriends and treated like s h i t by other women and then get married and still get walked on. hmmm...and thats for openers..

its our up bringing,,insecurity come from our critical parents
and the lack of good attention,,and the feeling of never being good enough...keeping up with the jone's
