You should have your dog neutered. smack his nose if continues to scratch the wallpaper, or give him a bone to take his mind of things. Thats what i did when my dog was a pup shes a rottweiler, now she is very obedient and dog trained.

To stop him cocking his leg up against the wall you need to get him neutured. Not sure you can successfully stop the puppy from scratching the wall paper off the wall. He's a puppy and that is a puppy thing. All you can do when you catch him doing it is to tap his paws gently (don't hit him) and say no and show him the wall and say no again. He will eventually get the message. Puppies don't like you to be upset with them and want to please you, so he will eventually learn. Unfortunately, they usually scratch your walls and rip things up when you are not there because they get bored.

spray him with a water bottle when he scratches..he won't like this. and as for cocking his leg.....if he is peeing on everything.....try crate training...you get a little metal cage and everytime you leave you put him in it. and as soon as you get home you take him straight outside and then give him a treat and praise him. even if your sitting home most of the day, put him in the crate and let him out every 2 hours and make sure he goes to the bathroom outside. this may take a couple of months to train him but it's better than having a dog that isnt' trained at all. good luck. i know the crate training works cause i have done it to my male dog.....good luck

I use to manage a pet shop I suggest haveing him nuetered if your not going to breed, taking him out more frequently and then rewarding him greatly when he does go outside, and tap his but everytime he scratches the wallpaper or as i once did with my puppy everytime she did something she knew she shouldnt be doing i took her favorite toy away (the one she carried around like a baby blanket) for 30 min... There smarter than we give them credit for and like kids dont want to lose there toys.

Well, it's not nice but I'd suggest having it neutered. Seems to work for most male dogs that become destructive. What he's doing is marking his territory and showing that he's in charge. If you have him neutered, he should no longer have the urge to do this.
