I know I do! I say whatever get's you through the day be it God or Gin as one put it, be happy that you are alive another day is all we can do.

living minute for minute is very important for me

i care for my husband who is diabetic and suffers from depression
my father just passed away in january and my mother has taken a stroke since , so i also care for her
i have 3 children also
so i juggle so many things right now
so i deal with each thing as it happens , but i have to let it go the moment i dont need to be concentrating on it , in order that i may deal with the next thing that comes up
i am possitive and happy in general ( that isnt to say i dont get down times )
i dont carry thoughts for any length of time , if i get angry then it is for that moment then i let it go
i hope this helps you in any small way as you have so much to deal with also
but life can be possitive and happy .... it takes practise to see it that way xx

Well, with all that people are dealing with... proves without a doubt to me that an all-loving and all-powerful god cannot possibly, logically or otherwise, exist.

Once you realize that fact, how DO you cope? How do you get through each day?

You just do. You live and you learn. You hope. You seek guidance from those that love you and those that care for you. As far as I am concerned, this is the only life I have to live and I had better make the best of it, because I'm not going to get a second chance. Life's too short to dwell on the small stuff, whether you've been cursed or plagued or not.

I have always been an optimistic person. For a while, I felt pressures so strong I was overwhelmed. For a long time I didn't consciously pray for strength and help but I think I was doing exactly that unconsciously. The skies began to clear for me, some radical changes fell into place, I began to give thanks several times a day and still do. I actively pray for help and strength daily, but I always give thanks. It is amazing how much happier and safer I feel since I realized what I had forgotten is the very thing I need.

God gets me through the day. I try to focus on the positive when I can. I'm living on borrowed time, and I cherish every day. I've had Lymphoma and am two years post-treatment. I just want to be around to help my 5 year old grow up.

Well, I would love to say God, however to be honest during my darkest days i like to self wallow. I like to throw a pity party with me invited. I am working on this however, and trying to look towards the Lord, because when I do, He gives me enough strength to make it through. When I go at it on my own, I just make things worse.

Firstly I dispense with any ideas of happiness-as a clinical depressive that isn't going to be happening for me. I cope basically because I have a streak of stubborness that means I don't give into anything no matter how harsh it is. I always believe without any doubts that no matter what I'm faced with it can be overcome.

You know, I've been battling mental illness (bipolar and borderline personality disorder) for many years. I was molested as a kid and still working through it. I also just had a very painful operation.

What gets me through? My belief in God, most definitely. In fact I was Athiest for years and I've improved greatly once I accepted God into my life. Praying is good. I like to carry around a Rosary in my pocket for when I feel anxious or have to deal with something hard. And I love going to Mass. It always leaves me feeling better.

Of course therapy and my amazing therapist also does a whole lot to get me through my hard times too.

When I feel down I always look around at the happy people I see and feel happy for them.

Children playing and laughing always makes me forget about my problems and feel happy for them.
