How can i find a relative?

My partner has not been in contact with his father for a quite a few years and would like to track him down and re-establish a relationship. We know his name and where he used to live but nothing more. He will be an old man now probably without internet.

Any ideas on how to find him would be REALLY appreciated,

Go on a road trip with ur partner.
Go to all the places that he has been, look for his friends, etc.. you will find him.
You have a starting place where he used to live. Some one there knows where he went!

Let me tell you of my success. (I will try to dig up the contact information for you if you want it) I was looking for my aunt, whom my mom had not talked to since way before I was born (I am 26 almost 27) My mother led a very quiet past, and with my aunt's birthdate, her app age, first and last known last name, I was able to track down her ex husband who then put me in contact with her.

I went through a private investigator, thirty three bucks to do a general search with all the information I had (listed above)

first thing id do is go to a registry office to make sure he,s not dead or got remarried had an other child by law they,ll keep a record of these things which are open to the public to view.dont know where you live if it,s uk id try salvation army.would he still work?u might get him through his national insurance no. good luck

there should be an institution looking after those thimgs in ur country... try there... also u could announce on radio or advertise it in newspapers with his photo... gd luck
