atheist?

I mean, I like Gregorian chants also, and Mozart, Beethoven. What's going on here? Is it just, in my head?

Yes sir. I'm living proof.

My son took some Islamic calls to prayer (if that's the proper wording) and set them to Middle Eastern music for me. They are hauntingly beautiful...

I love all types of music, even hymns, yet I am an atheist. It is certainly possible...it's called having an open mind.

If you like them for their asthetic values... it doesn't mean you have to believe what is actually being said.

I mean... heck..... lots of athiests (admittedly emo kids and wannabes) listen to Evanescence.... despite the fact that they go on about god on a regular basis.

Even Nightwish do it to some extent, and I listen to their stuff regularly .... (though I always skip over the tracks "Bless the Child" and "The Carpenter" because they irritate me).
