Ok, if someone thinks that my face is not attractive, there is no need to be honest and say that. Why? Because nothing good is going to come out of it - there is no way for me to improve my face, short of plastic surgery. Furthermore, my face being ugly doesn't affect anyone really.
On the other hand if I bought some sunglasses and they looked stupid on me, and were totally out of style, I would want someone to tell me. Because I can change what sunglasses I wear.
Basically if the person can make a CHANGE to what you are telling them the truth about, and this change might improve them, or their lives in some way, I myself would want to know. Other people aren't always like that though.
Oh, and if my boyfriend were cheating on me, I'd DEFINITELY want to know so I could get the f out.

There is a difference between ignorance, and withholding the truth. A small child is necessarily and healthily ignorant of many facts of the adult world, and that ignorance is a blessing. Even as an adult, there are some things that it is best never to have to encounter.
However, when one person withholds information from another it is much more complicated. Who decides on the line between protecting someone, and stopping them from growing, between trying not to worry someone, and giving them information that could actually help them, even if it seems hard for them at first?
In my opinion you should consider long and hard before deciding to keep secrets. Have you really considered to consequences? To the other person AND to yourself? What makes you so important that you can make judgments for another person?
I'm not saying it's never right to keep back the truth, but it's a very risky game, and one that needs serious deliberation before you decide you know better than the person you're keeping ignorant.

Always tell the truth. People will respect you for it they may not like you for it. Live impeccably and you will not bring karma onto you. Be the best that you can be all ways. Ignorance is lack of personal responsibility. There are "sins of omission" as well.By not saying the whole truth. Any thing that is misleading will affect your life path and bring untruth into your life. to face my fears allows me to face myself and grow. You always chose to not answer. Allow other s to take responsibility for their own actions then they can not come back later and try to blame you for what you told them. We are all here by choice and have free will to live as we chose to. Go with your feelings not what you think is right. ALWAYS go with your heart.

I want to know the truth. What if circumstances change; You don't need to change the story. The truth never changes.

Some would like to think so. But ignorance breeds FEAR. And fear is the enemy.
Only if one gives into fear, can any evil being have any sway over them.
