HELP! i cannot see the RUN button (Windows XP)?

Question

my computer was recently infected by virus or something --- but i have cleaned it with antivirus and ad-aware.

now, my problem is i cannot find RUN button (the one we put regedit, etc) in the start menu..

How to make it visible again? i'm using Windows XP Pro

right hit taskbar. hit on properties >hit on start menu > customize <
Advanced .tab look down list ur see run command .checkmark it hit ok then hit apply & ok

start that pc with out internet on . install all this then scan in safemode
scan pc in safemode use this to do it with & that spyware will go
ewido antispyware
xoftspy
spybot
antispyware blocker
ad-aware(se )
a-squared< is verry good in picking up traking software files that is on the pc and it will find them

then you go to safemode on ur pc. restart pc. as pc is starting up. keep hitting on (F8) key you come to a menu . go to safemode . hit on enter then enter again. pc will go to login screen . go to ur user name hit on that
then run .da scan to find that spyware& malware
when found . delete da .spyware. then restart pc

click on start then right click the pop up menu click properties then customize start menu click the advanced tab scroll down and make sure there is a check in the run program box

This is how my historic laptop used to be. I consider this is a virus. Run the antivirus application that you just downloaded with the up to date definitions and spot if that eliminates it. If no longer, I have no idea what else to do instead of take it to a laptop professional.
