it's not cheap. i had a friend who had a tiny tattoo removed and it cost $1000. i'd call a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon's office and see how much it would cost. good luck!

Home Based Tattoo Removal

Why have a tattoo removed? I do not understand why people will get them and then want them gone. I have a tattoo on my right leg that goes from my knee to my ankle and I would rather have my hair shaved off instead of getting my tattoo removed. I hope that you do find a place that can help you get it done if that is really what you want. But it is sad because you are destroying someone else's art work. I would suggest that if you ever ever think about doing something like this again think long and hard and then think again before you do it.

Actually, there is a set price for turning the laser machine on. My doctor's is $70.00. Then, for each "shot" with the laser is an additional charge. My total cost each time I go is around $150. The tattoo is about an inch and a half in diameter. I have gone three times and still probably have about 5-6 more times to go. I go to a dermatologist. I would search the web for local doctor's in your area who perform laser tattoo removal. Some dermatologists do it and most plastic surgeons do it.

But, beware! It is very, very painful! 100 times worse than the actual tattoo. And it blisters and oozes for days.

But, I love the results (minimal scarring) and it's well worth it.

Check with your doctor, they should know reputable tattoo removal, believe it is done with a laser that disperses the pigment.

The NHS does do some tattoo removals, and it does seem a shame that NHS resources are being used on non life threatening conditions, especially those self-inflicted....but they will do it if it is affecting you ability to get a job, so I guess you could say it would enable you to put back into the system.
