It is usually because most Americans don't like people that are different from them. In other words, people who don't follow them or have the same religion or race. In my country, there is no issue about religion stereotyping.

Here is a verse from the Holy Bible
Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
May God bless you and show you the truth in his light which removes all darkness. In Jesus name. Amen.

Try again, or better yet, try reading a book.

As long as people keep self-identifying according to religion it's going to continue to happen, seems more and more people describe themselves primarily by religion these days and it's totally barmy to do so, I think it's a fad that will pass like the hula hoop myself.

partly because people often have shallow ideas of what various religious world views are and so sometimes tend to caracature people they disagree with
it's also part of the anonymity of the internet...makes people less aware of the need to be considerate and mannerly

Because it's easier than taking the time to judge people on a case-by-case basis.

Look..It's going to happen in here, I dont like it any more than you do, but if it's bothering you so much, then dont expose yourself to it here in rooms like this were you see it a lot,
Just turn aside and leave it alone, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to change it.
