If everyone asked intelligent questions about the other person's religion without insulting them would we even be fighting?

Unfortunately, Muslimah, someone will still take offense, no matter how kindly a question is asked. Some people simply have it in their nature to be unpleasant.
You, however, are one of those rare pleasant askers, and your questions are never offensive to anyone. If more people here were as thoughtful as you are, it would be a better place indeed. Have a wonderful day.
Edit: for Acid above me...how dare you speak to a lady that way! You have just proven my point that some people are unpleasant simply for the sake of being so.
***You are most welcome,Muslimah.Anything for you my friend

No we won't be fighting then, but it's not as easy as that. There are some people here that go as far as making an account for the sole reason of insulting and downgrading other religions.
They do not want to hear opinions or understand, they just want to spread a deformed image falsely, so more and more people will join them in disliking that particular religion they're fighting. unfortunately they sometimes even pretend they're from that religion and spread their false information from there...they are such hating black hearted people.
Lately I have been just giving them a thumb down without even answering. Sometimes ignoring them is the best thing to do.

The trouble is that we always get fanatics that PUSH their religious agenda down other peoples throats .
We also get immature teens on here that are just getting their jollies off.
I personally like a good ,intelligent debate .
I would rather see all give up the notion of religion and live peacefully side by side .
I am attracted to Asians ,Arabs ,Jews and Russians ,but I never approach them because I don`t believe in religion and they would not accept me .
I believe religion puts barriers up from people actually loving others from different cultures.

The thing is when answering a quetion we need to look at both sides of the argument first. However some people just say what they feel like and others are arrogant and so what would u expect.

Because it is in our nature as animals to compete.
As much as humanity has become cooperative and learnt to form societies... evolution is still an imperfect process, and we are left with the same desire for individual superiority as more independant organisms...
To seek to destroy those who are not like ourselves and potentially represent a threat is the wholly natural response to such things.
Pacifism will just make a door-mat of you (metaphorically speaking) if not used as appropriate with great care.

Hi,peace be with you.
I certainly agree with you on this, the reality is that a firm believer in Christ is not going to be converted by a Muslim, a firm believer in Mohammed is not going to be won over by a Christian, and an Atheist is not going to be swayed by argument,we have our differences that no amount of mud slinging or cheap slur is going to change.
what I would say is that those who purposely use this forum purely to cause hurt and annoyance should grow up and stop trying to ruin what is essentially a great medium to communicate across the world.
the one thing that we seem unable to do on this forum is to agree to differ.

There is no reason to insult.
To ask and answer questions is what this forum is about.
To debate issues is fun.
To get personal leads to discontent which clearly shows up too often here.

I have found christians (so called anyway) and athiest to be the most unaccepting of others beliefs I think that if most people followed what their religion taught they would have a lot more respect for others. I've looked at many different religions and it seems that the message of most of them is basicly "it would be a nice place if we were nice to each other" so lets try it sometime people!

We shouldn't be fighting. It should be all respectful questions and answers. Then people could learn from each other, and about each others beliefs.

Some people just can't take it that other people think that they are right with their version of the story.
