u can't always get rid of stress, it is part of life, and will always be there in one way or another. stress is not the problem, its how u deal with it. some people use exercise, meditation, talking to a close friend and u can always go to the Internet, to find out different ways to deal with your stress. i believe you are 16 years old, that in itself is a stress full part of your life. raising your self esteem at that age is difficult also, but if you go on the Internet there are ways to help you raise your self esteem. pamper yourself, get hair and skin conditioners for yourself eat properly and get a good nights sleep try to stay away from over the counter medications, you are too young to be dependent on some of these "cures" believe in yourself, you are a beautifull person, there is no one in the world like you, as you get older you will be able to handle the stress better. if all else fails, and u feel so miserable, talk to school councellor, or family doctor. keep your spirits up life will get better for you good luck

First of all, you can't get advice for relieving stress. You have to do something that's relaxing for YOU. Everyone has a different way of blowing off steam, and relaxing. I like to play on the swings at the park when it rains. Not everybody likes getting wet though...very stressing for neat-freaks. The key is finding something you've always wanted to do, and just taking time out to do it. And LET GO. I went into the mountains the other day to watch a sunset, because I figured I'd haven't taken time to watch a good sunset in a while. So I stood by the side of the mountain road, eating my cheetos, and gawking at the horizon for an hour. It's relaxing to me. It has to come from you though. Find something you've always wanted to do. Some people like to sit in the park and feed birds, or feed Koi. Take a little time off for yourself, even if it's only for an hour or a half.

There are lots of things you can do to help relieve stress. First, the easy ones; a hot bath with lavender oil (a natural stress reliever), taking time out during the day to walk or exercise for at least 20 minutes, eat healthy to maintain good health. No sugar or alcohol, that adds to stress. Drink lots of water to hydrate your body, this will help dry skin too, so does a good body oil right after showering. Second, take vitamins that help with stress; antioxidants like C, B complex and eat fish like Salmon with omega fatty acids (also a brain food, good for school). Third, meditation, prayer, socializing, church, all help to connect you to God, yourself and others. This helps with self-esteem. Counseling will help with self-esteem issues that you can't resolve on your own.

Stress is inevitable. You really need to accept that fact, there are pressures on everyone everyday. Now how you handle stress is another issue. Exercise is a good way to let your body deal with daily pressures. Deep breathing exercises, prayer or meditation can help as well. Just be sure you think a way that works for you to deal with stress. Ask yourself 1) will the sun rise tomorrow? 2) If it don't can I really do anything about it? 3) Will the way I handle stress hurt me? I hope this helps. You are not alone out there.

You have to start pharmacological management if your problems are severe. Any of these drugs will do
citalopram (Celexa, Cipramil, Emocal, Sepram, Seropram)
escitalopram oxalate (Lexapro, Cipralex, Esertia)
fluoxetine (Prozac, Fontex, Seromex, Seronil, Sarafem, Fluctin (EUR))
fluvoxamine maleate (Luvox, Faverin)
paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat, Aropax, Deroxat, Paroxat)
sertraline (Zoloft, Lustral, Serlain)
Mirtazapine
Consult a good clinical psychiatrist and discuss the problem.

You can never really get rid of all the stress in your life.
What you have to do is change your perspective. You are in control of how you let stressors effect you. You have to learn to recognize when the stressors in your life are affecting your feelings and moods, and then make a conscious effort not to let them get to you.
Hope this helps. I know it sounds a little complex. But, it is the only way that really works for me.

First of all try to relax. Try not to think about that bad, what do you love to do? Go and do it - with your friends, maybe family, get a tub with foam and some oil, turn on the nice music, and enjoy!
Don't forget that nerves are not replaceble, you are too young to lose them.
Good luck, and take care
