It sounds like she may have thrush. It's a harmless but annoyingly itchy infection. It is also known as candida and you can buy over the counter ointments to cure it. Why don't you describe the symptoms to the pharmacist at your local pharmacy and I'm sure he/she will be able to recommend a suitable treatment. Be sure to mention that it is for a ten year old because some ointments aren't suitable for children. If this doesn't clear it up in a three to four days then you should take your sister to the doctor for a check up. There's no need to be embarrassed, doctors see thousands of women of all ages with problems 'down there'. It's their job and as with most jobs they probably just find it boring.

hi , your sister is 10 and having that problem the best way to help her is to tell your mom, sometimes little girls don't know how to wipe correctly when they go to the bathroom , she may have a infection from that, the best way is to have yourr mom decide if she needs to see a doctor using anything would cause more of a problem , this puts up a red many things could be going on ,tell your mom before something small turn into a serious problem,if you can't talk to your mom ,find a family member ,grandma, an aunt but talk to someone.good luck

Have you changed any soaps or laundry detergents recently? When I was little I couldn' sit in bath water (Drs. orders) because I was prone to infections. It could also be a bacterial infection which only can treated with antibotic. The bad thing about the latter is that it takes an examination which could prove embarrassing for your young daughter.

You mention that your sister bathes daily, sometimes even twice a day. I wonder if maybe the soap is irritating the area, causing discomfort. I agree, however, that the best thing she could do is to confide in your mother initially, then have it checked by a physician. Better safe than sorry. PLEASE don't you or your sister be embarrassed. The human body is a thing of great beauty and wonder. I only wish that we would learn to appreciate it in this country.

Has she been drinking orange juice. Sometimes the orange juice (because of it's concentrate) can have ill effects in that area. Get her to drink water, and if things don't get better she should visit a Dr. It could be a matter of hygiene.

It sounds like she may have a yeast infection, please have her tell your Mom and she can take her to the doctor for it and give her medicine.
