As a mother of a 14 year old, i can answer your question. If you are considered overweight and your doctor will write you a note, you can join weight watchers at 13. Weight Watchers is not a diet, it is a way of life. The program teaches you how to make good choices and portion control. My daughter and I have both been on the program. It really works. The best part is, you do not have to give up anything. You just eat smaller portions and record your points so that you are accountable for what you do eat and you can keep track. You are normally allowed around 24 points a day. For example, if you go to subway and have a ham and cheese sub with all the veggies you like, a bag of baked lays and diet soda or water. It is 9 points for everything. 1 cup of cereal and 1/2 cup 2% milk is around 4 pts. In addition to recording your points, you can go to the meetings once or twice a week. They cost abour $10.00 a week and last about an hour. My daughter and do not go to the meetings. We just follow the plan. She is also a teenager and feels uncomfortable, so its ok. As long as you follow the plan, it really works.Just make sure you use all your points. Some people try to get away wih 15 - 20 pts a day and that is not good either, because you body will start to store fat. It is ok to do this once and awhile. For example, it is Friday and you are going out to eat with your friends on Saturday. You can use 19 points on Friday and that way you will have 29 points on Saturday, instead of 25. I hope I am not confusing you. This website should really help you! http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Meadows/6172/points.htm
Good luck, honey! You can do it!

Nosh on baked carrot chips rather than greasy potato chips.

Add veggies to baked items. You'll never even taste the actual zucchini in these brownies or the sweet potato in these types of cookies.

Instead involving cream cheese or butter about bread or bagels, spread almond or perhaps peanut butter. The healthy fats satiate hunger which enables it to decrease belly fat.

Use fruit to add natural sweetness rather than white sugar. Try this muffin formula.
