I saw a programme on TV and I find this an interesting, amusing, quirky proposition. Some of the women are gorgeous. Does anyone know the basics of how it works, prices etc. Can I send her back within 30 days and get a refund if it isn't working out?

A friend of a friend tells me they don't come with a guarantee...and they cost a lot...or rather the upkeep of her family did and the cost of visiting her when she went home...

The stereotype of these "Russian Brides" become significantly colder towards you after they get their residency. I do not know the statistics, but, I'd say you'd have to be really careful.
One should remember, however, that Russian relations between sexes are significantly different than in most of the "western" countries, and I think that is impossible to build a relationship with someone without understanding their culture and society.

I'm surprised that anyone has felt sorry for men who have been tricked by their Russian brides. They are using their money and their useful passports to engage with the women - they know it's a transaction, surely. Surely they don't think they've found love? They should ask themselves why would someone want to be a Russian bride - surely not because they love someone who can't find love in his own country so he has to shop around.

No but I know someone who has a Thai bride.
He is about 60, fat bald and unnattractive with nothing to offer a young girl other than lots of money.
She is in her 20s and stunning. The benefits are obvious as she is always dressed in the latest designer gear and driving a nice car.
But I wonder how she does it. How does she lie back and let that fat bald old man have sex with her? I'm sorry, money or no, I couldn't. How does she restrain herself when she sees a gorgeous young lad of her own age? Ok he might not have the money her sugar daddy does but I'm sure he makes up for it in other ways.
The men who go for Thai and Russian brides are sad old losers. No Western woman wants them so they buy one from somewhere else.

Is this "From Russia with Love" syndrome be careful my friend a lot of people from foreign lands think "we" Brits are a soft touch some are but, the majority of us having had our fingers burned once do not make the same mistake twice.I would strongly advise you to take a step back awhile & look at all aspects before committing to what looks like on paper ok material?

My advice to u,..DO NOT DO IT !!! My next door neighbour got married to one that he met on the internet. She played him so bad & now he is in jail. First, she wrote him 4 5 months love letters, how good she was in bed ,what a great cook & what a wonderfull good girl she was who didn't go to bars/night clubs, neither drink or smoke. He went to her country, married her, brought her to the US(Virginia), gave her money, bought her new cloth & treated her like a Princess. As soon as she got the G.Card(2 months after he brought her to the States), she scratched herself, called the cops ,got him arrested for Spousal abuse, ran off with another man whom she was corresponding with in secret & filed 4 a divorce. She ruined his life !!! He is a sweet guy & did not deserve this ! He just got out of jail cuz he proofed that he never abused her & all the neighbours supported him. Quess what ? She turned out to be a real liar. She loves bars/clubs & drinks like hell. Fox News, showed a report about the Russian girls & how all of them follow the same trick. Pretend love, get ur Sucker, get the Visa, claim abuse & get the divorce. Now, the cops are looking 4 her & the INS denied to renew her G.Card, but still my neighbour is left with deep scares. DO NOT MARRY RUSSIANS OR ROMANIANS !!! THEY KNOW THE TRICK FOR THE VISA !!!

Yeah, just like at any good butcher you pay for the top quality meat, and if they turn out to be off you either dump it in the trash (with the gun wiped for prints) or take it back for an exchange.

I married a girl I met in the Ukraine, and I certainly wasn't looking for a wife. Everything was pretty good until she got her "permanent residency" in the UK, then everything changed and we're now divorced. Oh yes and she is still in the UK, read into that what you will.

i met and married a bride if thats how you like to say it from the deepest darkest parts of peru and she is the best thing that ever happend to me and no you cant return after 30 days lol
