My friend met a few guys online...the main thing is since u r agreeing to meet him, you must already feel comfortable with each other.
I even suggest arriving a little late, so that he surely arrives first. If u arrive first & he doesn't show, he may have "scoped" u out first & decided to leave {awful feeling huh? so don't do that} Greet him warmly & w/ a big smile. You will know if u both "click" right away. Wear clothes that r comfortable yet attractive. Like jeans & a pretty top. Wear perfume, and have your hair styled nicely.Come with an appetite, guys like to eat! If he doesn't want any food he is not that into you. Don't be afraid to hug & hold hands. Hopefully the conversations will flow as freely as when u r online. One complaint guys make of women online is that they appear "older" than what they say..Wearing your hair pulled up or in a ponytail automatically makes you look younger.Being a little shy is charming too. Just be feminine. If you don't feel anything continue with the date & part as friends.
Some advice: the hard part is NOT the first meeting..it's the day AFTER! waiting to see if he calls again or not.
I hope u at least e-mailed each other photos??? It is 2006! Online relations, the person is either MORE or LESS than what you expected....you simply decide if you can accept that.

have you seen him yet? does he know what you look like? tell him you are going to wear a certain thing and tell him to do the same but he has to tell you too and then when you go to meet him wear something different and then sit somewhere else and observe him. and if he isn't good looking then turn around and run!! just kidding, i met someone online a few years back before i got with my hubby and i did this and i saw him talking and flirting and kissing another woman. i of course confronted him and then i left. not what i wanted. if he would do that while i was not around, what would he do if we did hook up and i was not around, you know what i mean? well good luck p.s. go with an open mind and heart, you will do just fine.

Suggestions for what? Go with an open mind, meet him and built on what you see of him, what you hear him say, what you feel and what you yourself can give in return.

good luck! just meet in a public place and if he seems shady at all just leave. i met my husband online and i'm glad i did. so go and have fun just don't do anything you would regret.
