I think he was either making it up as he went along or he just didn't really have a clue. He created light before creating a source of it, did he suddenly stop on the forth day and think "Hang on a minute, where's this light supposed to be coming from?"
Also it does seem like he screwed it all up and started over again after resting. Did he do it all wrong the first time as something of a practice run?

Since someone asked :-
There's a problem with plants existing before the Sun that feeds them but I thought that since I mentioned the light existing prior to the Sun, I thought that was enough.
Btw: the restarting it all after resting, I meant the complete story change at chapter 2 where God recreates everything he's just created.

How could anyone possibly answer that. The only person that knows the answer is God himself!!

God mentioned the answer in the Qoran. He created the Univers to filter wrong from right for the truth to prevail. Whatever that means we just like little ants. Do ants no the difference between Tuesday and Wensday? Are they aware that they live on a planet called Earth? I don't think so. We also know very little sience. God knows all the future this is why He can't make a mistake. If you no that that if you cross this street at this time you'll get killed you'll be able to avoid it. But can we grasp the fact that anyone can see the future exactly as it will happen. Just like ants have no clue that there is a huge population underwater called fishs.

well if you're referring to the Genesis story and the only thing you're having trouble with is the light thing, then you've got some more reading to do.. It's a story, do you ask why all the animals are talking to each other in English in Bambi?

Oh, it just happened.
He was playing building blocks in the his back yard. H e kept adding blocks and before He realized it, there was the universe. Next day He added more and so on. Then He admired his creation.
Today, He regrets some of it.

The universe itself works pretty well. He really screwed up creating his followers though. The bible is such a mishmash no one can agree on what it means, so he's a really lousy communicator.

I seriously think the construction of the whole universe is beyond many peoples understanding.
If the universe is here then there is a reason for it. Everything has its purpose in the bigger scheme of it all.

YEs of course he knew! The bible didnt say that he created the source to create the light, its clear that the source of all that is made, is through his will.

He didn't create the universe. God is a myth.

When it says he created light, it really meant he was creating time (day and night) not actual light.
