Show some friggin discipline and act like you really care about seeing your kids grow up instead of always making excuses.

Ok to have the potato as long as it is a small one, and i would get rid of the coleslaw, and you have not been eating carbs all day.

If you are gonna have a small potato it should not be no bigger than your fist and you could have a salad with it and go very easy on the dressings, you could try and get a low fat one.

As for the cake, have some will power girl you can do it!!!!
Just avoid being in the room while they are eating it for now!!

Oh yeah nearly forgot have a nice big glass of water half an hour or so before dinner that will help you fill up

Jacket Potato and coleslaw could go either way. If the colelslaw is made with Mayo it will be full of fat. And don't put any butter on the potato.

As for the Cake - that's what will power is all about. If you find it easier, get rid of all the temptations for a week or two - but don't punish the kids 'cause you're on a diet.

It's sheer will power!!! Keep limited goodies for the kids...and keep them separate so you don't have to see them everytime you open a cupboard. Jacket spud and coleslaw is healthy...it depends what kind of diet you are on. Mayo still is high in fats and calories. The potato is full of vits but is high in carbs. Eat healthy and drink your 2 L of water a day, this will help to flush out your system. I lost over 2 stone just by cutting out processed foods...like ready made meals...crisps...salt.... and cut down on carbs, like potatoes and pasta. The best way I have found is a dettox diet.

Jacket Potatoe...and coleslaw?! for a diet? no way a good diet is a balance of the food pyrimid that adds just the right amount and not to over feed yourself. your stomach dose not have a nerve signal for when you are just about full..You'll feel full when you've over stuffed yourself..

Oh and that cake? Lay out that beach wear you wanna look good in anytime you wanna eye that cake..Remeber set your goals..Aim shoot and Score! The Holiday time can be rough but with the right state of mind You can do it!

Ps. make sure you have soppourt family friends ect. and stay strong its tough but its worth it.

I think you should ditch the coleslaw if your serious about the diet and just have the jacket.
I'd throw the Coconut cake over the next door neighbours fence.

Have a jacket potato try to avoit toes or meat of any kind.

You will fail, then put more weight on than you have now so just shortcut the suffering and get in a bacon sarnie and a pizza

I don't know what a Jacket potato is, but I like cole slaw.
I'm one of the lucky ones that don't worry too much about dieting. I somehow seem to eat and eat and not gain much weight.
I think it's the way I eat and what I eat that helps me in that area.
I don't deprive myself of what I want. If I want ice cream, I eat ice cream, but I don't gorge myself on it. I only eat a scoop or two then leave it alone until I want it again. I like vegetables and I eat them a lot. I also like fresh fruits and I eat them a lot. I've also discovered that drinking milk, 2%, makes me feel full and I don't want to eat much after that.
If you want the 'treats', then have them, but don't gorge yourself, eat one serving then leave it alone. I believe that when one deprives oneself of what they want, then when they finally do cave in and eat it, they end up eating a gallon of ice cream instead of controlling the portions. And that's their downfall.
Eat several small meals a day to keep from 'starving' while on the diet. It should make you feel like munching on something but not leave you really hungry and you can have 6 to 8 ounces of milk to fill you up the rest of the way. Or you can munch on fresh fruits and veggies to fill up.

my advice is forget the diet and just eat well.

in regards to the cake - have some self control! you know it's all the chemicals that make you want, want, want sweety things.
if you don't eat the first slice, it's a million times easy not to eat the whole cake, in one go, in two minutes flat.

ultimately, have a bit of faith in yourself!!!!

if you want to eat well, you will.
if you don't, you won't - so think about the reasons your changing your eating habits, and stick with your aim.

Find something to occupy your time. Eat a Popsicle. Stay away from too many carbs. It should be on the label.
