Well if you are drinking the same amount of each
I'd say its down to all the crap that goes into most cheaper lagers. Preservatives, flavourings, colours etc
Having been a barmaid for several years and talked to many people who work in the brewery trade it really disgusts me how much crap and additives goes into the average commercial lager. Stella is the worst. Thats why it makes people aggressive and gives them evil hangovers. Your body has to work all the chemical crap out of your system which dehydrates you and makes you feel like poo.
If you have to drink lager go for the more expensive. You wont be able to afford to drink so much of it but at least you won't wake up feeling like Jade Goody has been tap dancing on your head all night.
Personally I avoid lager like the plague. Real ale/Bitter is so much nicer and less hangover inducing (on the whole although be careful of Brains SA or Skull Attack as its known locally, that packs a morning-after punch hence the nickname)

Probably because Kronenberg is made from chemicals and cardboard in a factory somewhere down the M4, whilst Staropramen is made from malt and hops in a brewery in Prague. Better still, drink a proper British made cask beer. It's cheaper, hasn't travelled 800 miles on the back of a lorry and will probably give you even less of a hangover.

Staropramen is a good quality beer, like all Czech beers by the way. Simply stop drinking Kronenbourg, I suggest.

Staropramen is a far classier beer, like my friend says above, it is the chemical content of kronenbourg that give you that killer hang-over(like Stella does), Staropramen is actually filtered and it tastes better

If you know you get a hangover from a particular brand , is it not obvious that it is not agreeable to your system and that you are punishing yourself by your own stupidity, all you are doing is pushing the sales of Asprin up

Because the Czechs really know how to make a beer.
I think a pilsner is less likely to give you a hangover.
Staropramen is an awesome beer.
Kronenberg so so.

It is probably the the different hops. The hops blends for different beers are considered trade secrets because they are such a big part of the flavor. You might be allergic to one of the hops they use.
