How can i be happy and stay myself in a new relationship?

I put all my hopes and happiness on the other person's shoulder and I want them to love me so much but when i realise it might not work I am crushed. I have low self esteem and I would like to know how to be happy with myself and feel confident in a relationship... not needy.

Well that is a tricky one.
To start off with all I can say is that when you love yourself firstly the rest follows.
Low self esteem is something that can break any ones spirit but it is working on it that helps.
Look for positives within yourself I am sure you have quite a few.
and lastly when you have a heart full of love sooner or later that love is returned, hope that helps.

Start boosting up your self-confidence. Why don't you change your perspective on how you look at yourself. I know that you just want to love and most of all be loved. We are all like that, just that sometimes we go about doing things the wrong way. When you start a relationship think of it as starting a partnership. You don't need the other person for anything. Try getting to know the person inside and out. Discover new things about each other, likes and dislikes and so on. You will see that as time goes by you guys will become more and more closer. Don't put your hopes up in the beginning, happiness comes with time and respect and so does love. Hang in there, Mr Right will definitely find you.
