I would just leave things the way they are. If you are happy with that. If you don't want any other kind of relationship.And if you do find someone that you care about it will be easy to break off.

Ypu domnt say how old you are he are:
Is he 18 and you 38 or is he 40 and you 60? This makes a difference. If the former he probably doesnt want to commit because he may see you as a short term partner but not someone he intends to make a life long commitment. If the latter then maybe he never wanted or felt able to marry and he is happy in a safe relationship with you and this could well last. Enjoy this while it lasts but avoid trying to manipulate him to meet your own needs, he may well want to move on later and you should be prepare for your own happiness when and if it happens.

this is up to the 2 of you. Are you willing to be just a booty cal for him with no possible marriage commitment? In the future you will be 60 when he is 40. Do you think he'll still be around for u?

I believe this person will become a good friend as long as there is no jealousy involved. Don't be afraid to include your real wishes for someone your own age in your discussions with him. Strive to be his friend and to no longer be his lover. You will always have a close friend if you are both careful with your feelings and are truthful about them. This is of course if he is of legal age.
