Well, the man determines the sex but there are things you can do when trying to conceive that can help you get the outcome you prefer. As they say timing is everything and it is the same with conception, meaning, that the boy sperm usually swim much faster than the sperms that carry the girl chromosome, so if you have sex closer to ovulation the boy sperm will win because they get there first. If you have sex a day or two before ovulation the chances of having a girl are greater because by the time ovulation happens, the boy sperms are all out of energy and this gives the girl sperms an opportunity to reach the egg first. So in answer to your question it depends on when you ovulated and when you had sex whether or not you are having a boy or girl. Good luck and Congrats:o)

The male determines the sex of an unborn child. A male has X and Y chromosomes. The female has only Y chromosomes. If an X and a Y chromosome come together when the egg is fertilized, the child Will be a boy. A Y and a Y produces a girl.

Each partner gives the child half of it's genetic code.

In the case of sexual characteristics two chromosomes are required.
The female partner (with X X genes) gives the egg one X chromosome.
The male partner (with X Y genes) gives his sperm EITHER one X or one Y chromosome.

So the child's sex depends on which type of sperm (X or Y) fertilises the egg.
If a X chromosome sperm did the deed then:
sperm X + egg X = baby girl X X
If a Y chromosome sperm was to blame then:
sperm Y + egg X = Baby boy X Y

However it is possible that the environment can change your husband's sperm to have a higher percentage of either X or Y sperm. Also some research says the one particular type MIGHT be favoured under certain conditions caused by both partners.

I don't know what you'll have but I hope you are all happy either way!

Men have an XY gene and women have XX, therefore the male sperm are mixed into X and Y sperm so which ever ones gets to the egg first decided on the sex of the baby.

However as we hear every now and then of people in wrong bodies etc I'm beginning to think there's more to it than that.

It is the sperm that decides but everytime it's a 50/50 chance since there are an equal amount of each sex in each ejaculation.

Nobody decides but it is determined by the man's sperm. The chances are 50/50.

just because he has had two boys doesn't mean much. It's the male who carries both a y and a x chromosone, women have two X, so its the male who decides whether its a boy or girl
