Isn't all cereal for kids? Does Weetabix count as kid's cereal?

If you are my husband you are never too old for kids cereal. I just buy a healthy version for him from the whole food store.
As to what "normal people eat for breakfast?" None of us is normal!! However, I try to make sure that my family has a variety of foods during the week. This morning they had sausage (turkey) & eggs with juice , toast & milk. Yesterday we had pancakes. Some days cereal is whats on the menu & others I cave in & allow coffee & donuts. As long as everyone eats breakfast, I know that they are starting the day off on the right foot

I live in the States & we do have weetabix. You just have to get them at a whole foods type store

Can I please point out that cereal (yes even kid's cereal) is actually quite good for you. It contains very little fat and there is nothing wrong with a bit of sugar for a quick energy boost. Of course wholegrain varieties are better for you but if you read the nutritional values of some of the leading brands you will find that some actually have added vitamins and minerals. Personally I dont eat breakfast regularly as a meal (I know I know I should yea yea) but tend to just drink fruit juice in the morning and then "snack" on "kids" cereal and cereal bars throughout the day as well as having two light meals (lunch and dinner). Keeps up your energy levels while also making sure you dont ever feel too full or too empty. Better than crisps and sweets anyway.

I'm not sure if I'm normal but I usually have cereal. I would keep eating kids cereal if I wasn' t aware of all the sugar and no nutrition. It tastes great but its more of a dessert than breakfast. The heathiest cereal I can find is total. Boring flavor though i usually eat it with a banana or with yogurt

Not sure what Weetabix is, apparently not in the states. We eat cereal all the time and my favorite is sugar coated (I'm 38). I eat Cocoa Pebbles and Lucky Charms. But at my house we also eat scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and buttermilk biscuits. Sometimes pancakes or waffles with lots of butter and syrup.

I consider myself relatively normal and I had a yogurt for breakfast coz I'm dieting right now. I hope I won't have to ever stop eating kids cereals! I still like Frosties and Cheerios and Rice Crispies and I'm 31, maybe when I hit forty I'll feel compelled to switch to wholemeal toast or half a grapefruit or something but I hope not.

I still eat kids cereal too! Although these days I tend to favour toast in the mornings!

no i dont think cereals are for kids, but i think the companies pack them and make them colourful and add cartoon characters to it, to make it appealing to kids.

simply because kids needs persuading to eat breakfast. and making it playful and attractive for them helps the parents to get their children to have breakfast everyday

the marketing for breakfast is aimed at kids as their target group.

stuff like weetabix, porridge, even toast is a good enough breakfast if you dont want to buy so called 'kiddie cereals' but they are just as good for you as they are for a 6 year old !
