...that when you are a good person on earth, that when you die you go to heaven and if you are a woman you will make spirit babies for the rest of your stay. This is a serious question. My wife says if that is true then she doent want to go to heaven.

The part that is true: We can live forever with our families and have an "increase" in power, dominion, and yes children - IF you make and keep certain covenants and obtain the highest degree of glory in the Celestial Kingdom. Not every mormon will be in the Celestial Kingdom. Most people who have ever lived on the earth will be in either the Terrestrial or Telestial Kingdom, where there is no family unit, no chance for progression, and no being with Heavenly Father or Jesus Christ.
Only those in the Celestial kingdom will have the chance to have their eternal families progress...and it that doesn't necessarily mean the woman will be "having spirit babies" forever. We know we have the potential to do that but how many or for how long? it's not like there is some "requirement".
Also, you must have entered into the 'new and everlasting covenant of marriage' to attain the highest degree of glory. A man cannot become a god without his eternal companion, nor a woman become a goddess without her eternal companion.
Hope that helps.

I think I have heard this before. I do know the Mormons tell men that they can become a god but if I remember right, they had to have several wives in order to become a god themselves. Yet they gave up the practice of this so easily when the government said no? Oh..women can only become the wife of a god...they can not become a goddess so real Christianity does value women a lot more.

The Bible tells us that there is no marriage in heaven and we are all equal there. Why would we want to settle for less?

hmm well i have never heard that one before, I was raised mormon but no longer practice any religion persay, not that I don't believe in God or anything, I am just lazy and don't want to go to church. But when I did go or was " mormon" I don't recall anything ever like that just the three stages of heaven and depending on how good you are you will go to the one that suits you. also i have heard the usual paligamest stuff, and horns, and cult stuff but nothing have I heard like your question. You just do good in life and go to heaven and one of the Celestial Kingdoms.

Sorry your wife doesn't have a maternal instinct. Paul wrote in Galatians that we will receive the Abrahamic covenent. This promise made to him is made to us, that we will have an increase numbering as the stars in the sky.

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise

Hi I am not a Morman, but I had to drop in a line here lol....

God creates souls.... not the spirit of woman whom departed earth enjoying life as a 'good' girl.

Please assure your wife that human 'stuff' is totally impossible in a spirit body and our creator does not expect us to do 'his' creating for him.

I wouldn't want to make spirit babies for the rest of eternity either, it would be hard for me to give them up to humanity.

Blessings be in light and peace,
Harriett Potty

I don't know about that, but the leaders of the Mormons used to believe that black people were cursed and of the devil because of their skin tone
