Jesus said that satan would but tares in with the wheat and that there would be wolves in sheep's clothes. These are just two of the ways to say that many of those that would say they are Christians are not. Sometimes it may not be their fault. I have heard way too many preachers tell people that if they believe that Jesus died for their sin, they are Christians. This is not true. I could have a deadly disease and believe a pill would cure it, but even if that were true...that pill would never cure my illness if it was sitting in the bottle. I would have to take it according to the directions for it to work
Salvation is like that too. I have to accept the terms Jesus gives for salvation. You can find out how in the link below.
For those who use the things in this question to negate that there are real Christians. I ask...do you or would you throw away all of your money...because someone has made counterfeit money?
Just the fact that there are counterfeit Christians shows that there is something very valuable in true Christianity

I know this isn't going to sound like much of an answer but there is a book I would suggest to you. It is called The "12th Planet" by a man named Zitchen. It might give you some reality to go with your beliefs. He wrote a whole series called "The Earth Chronicles", The "12th Planet" is just book 1 of the series. It goes through history and talks about the evidences that were found and how religion came to be, as well as civilization and languages. It really cleared a lot of questions i had, and I bet it would do the same for you.

I agree. Some of the same people who profess Christianity and love of neighbor have "Support the Troops" bumper stickers on their cars and are very vocal in welcoming soldiers home from the battle line. And no matter what conflict this country is involved in, there are always clergymen who will give the troops a "god-given" reason why it's all for them to go out and kill their fellow man.
You are correct that professing Christianity does not always make it so. At Matt. 15:8, Jesus said: "This people honors me with their lips, yet their heart is far removed from me."

People online continue to discredit the integrity and reality of Christianity because you must have faith to believe in the reality of christianity. It is hard to have faith in something which you can not see or experiance. There are no answers to so many questions, that is why some people choose christianity... because they can't fathom not having an answer, so they make one up. Hey whatever works for you , just stop trying to force it on others.

Sounds find it irresistible is you that's no longer a Christian allow by myself a real one! The Pope, Catholic Church, Church of England and mainstream church buildings all receive the giant bang and evolution! Lord Carey the previous Archbishop of Canterbury positioned it as an alternative good – “Creationism is the fruit of a fundamentalist system to scripture, ignoring scholarship and vital finding out, and complicated specific understandings of reality”! Nice that Christians and atheists can agree and snort in combination although it's at fundie price! But at the back of the laughter is the depression on the fundamentalists striving so rough to break Christianity through turning it from a faith to an ideology! Surveys advocate that 29% of American Christians are so extremist of their ideals that they fall good external of the accredited bounds of Christianity!

Never heard of anyone saying that the torture and murder done by the Catholics during the crusades was Christian. They just say it doesn't matter because it was done "along time ago". How can a Christian church today have murdered Christians? You can't get good fruit from a bad tree. Why would anyone lay a good house on a bad foundation. Great point you've made. Ok, all you catholics can give me all your usual thumbs down.

For your information, a true christian is forced to accept every single person. Since the supposed god knows everything, he would know the future of every person he makes...
Since he has still made "sinners", he must have been ok with the life they would live, and therefore, so should christians...
Anyway, that would be the case if the god of the bible existed, which it doesn't... But since they think it does, they have no excuse to discriminate whatsoever...
If god knows someone is going to be a sinner before he makes that person, and yet he still makes the person, then he must be ok with it... Otherwise, he's making people only so that they end up in hell...(which is evil, in a way.)
Anyway, there are too many christians who are questioning their supposed god by discrimination.

"Deuteronomy 13:6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers; 13:7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth; 13:8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
13:9 But thou shalt surely KILL him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to DEATH and afterwards the hand of all the people.
13:10 And thou shalt STONE him with stones, that he DIE;"
Now that is a true christian. Say no to jesus
