I now can't buy Magners in the supermarket but Bulmers is now in the same place as Magners was... Are they the same company? I think Bulmers tastes nicer!

There are two Bulmers' brands.

What is sold as Bulmers' in ROI is sold as Magners' elsewhere.

What is sold as Bulmers' outside the ROI is owned by Scottish & Newcastle (of Strongbow fame).

So they are different.

Bulmers for the win, it's far nicer. But to answer your question, yes they are. It's called Bulmers in Ireland, not Magners, although they seem to have both versions over here in the UK.

I believe that Magners is in fact bulmers due to a marketing ploy to attract the english market Bulmers was deemed a little outdated and magners was really just a re-branding to make cider more appealing to a younger market
