First go to a doctor and take the medicine he writes. U feel a lot better than now. It is cold season here too. In chennai india after rains this cold spreads like wild fire. The same feeling splitting head, body ache, bitterness, drrrry cough and sometimes fever.
Fortunately here there are vaccines available so that u can avoid these dieases during rains. However a visit to a doctor is what it makes u all the better.

Go to drugstore and buy a bottle of Xclear, it's an anti bacterial,
anti viral, anti inflammatory nose spray.
And best of all it's all natural. Costs about $15.00 but REALLY
worth it.
Kills the virus really quickly.
Also, take at least 1000mg Vit-C every day.
And don't forget something for the aches and fever, like Tylenol
or whatever you prefer., and pamper yourself with plenty of hot
cups of lemon tea., (bigelows brand is delicious).
Hope this helps you.

Sleep sleep sleep as much as you can - and do as little as possible if you can't sleep.
Take tincture of fresh echinacea and goldenseal (from Holland and Barratt) - fresh is much better than the dried stuff in the capsules - it takes disgusting but will help your immune system help itself.
Drink at least three litres of water today - it will help to keep your system healthy.
Gell well soon! Oh, and cancel the test - you'll get well even slower if you're stressing about that.

Really there is no quick cure for the flu. Take some tylenol for your headache, drink lots of water, take that airborne stuff it helps to keep you from getting sicker, maybe get some otc medicine like theraflu.
Dont take theraflu with tylenol at the same time however, you will overdose. Only take 4000 mg of tylenol a day, its bad on your liver. Read the labels of everything you take so you dont get to much tylenol. Next year, get the flu shot if you didnt, it helps so you dont get as sick.

Lemsip max strength every few hours. stay in bed for as long as possible with a hot water bottle and sweat like you've never sweated before! make sure you drink lots of water (warm) and try not to eat high-carb food or milk. 2 days and you'll be good as new.
Oh, and if you've got a cough as well, Covonia tastes nasty but works and the drowsey one gets you trippin!

Take lots of vitamin C - small doses (say 60mg) at regular intervals (say every 2 hours) have some chicken soup. Get as much sleep/rest as possible/eat well, and take cold/flu tablets to relieve the symptoms. Other than that you'll just have to ride it out.
