I don't know whether it's a sad comment on society overlooking disabilities, or whether it is a good thing that we see those with disabilities just like everyone else, but I think more people would wave than will admit that they would. They simply would be happy to have seen a celebrity, and wouldn't pause the extra moment to think that he was blind. Personally, I like to see this as a positive comment on society - that we're willing to overlook differences. I'm certain that after no response, most people would feel embarassed, then realize their mistake and say hello.
