If you're really that poor, you could make a homemade heating pad by putting rice in a sock and heat it in the microwave for the pain, but it's only a temporary solution.

Are you sure you don't qualify for state or city and county health insurance, like the clinics? which also provide med's free or a sliding scale sometimes?

Prescription For Natural Cures (Balch & Stengler) lists: Glucosamine sulfate, Methylsulfonyl methane (MSM), Fish oil, Wobenzym or bromelain, and cayenne cream. Most health food stores will have a copy of this excellent reference you can look at. It is full of good advice and info.

I feel sorry. There is no medicine for RA.
