Because he didn't create mindless robots. They had free will and made the mistake on their own with help from the serpent (satan). Maybe your question is why were they given free will since God knew they would sin? A lot of people ask that and that is an unfair question to ask. Because you can also ask why did God create us with bones that can break. Through your whole life you know the pain of breaking bones is great so you prevent it at all costs. If you only knew the real pain you'll experience from dying in your sins you would also prevent it at all costs. See the similarity. We can't do something wrong then blame God for no slapping us silly and telling us, "You don't know why I'm doing this but it's for your own good!". Even though it is for your own good, you wouldn't understand it. Then you'd think God is bad and why did he slap you. Understand this??

God does not choose to be involved in every aspect of our lives. By Satan challange to God as his right to rule over his intellegent creation, Satan pretty much said you dont have that right , they should determine what is good and bad.. As the story goes, thats exactly what Adam and Eve did. They chose for themsleves what would be good and bad.. Of course God had already set his laws and the penalty for dis-obiedence. You can only tell you kids to look both ways before they cross the street.
If they choose not too then they eventually will get run overed. Like wise because of thier sin or disobidence it has affected later generations.

God knew that Adam and Eve would make the mistake but he still gave them the chance. This proves that Adam had free will even though God had the knowledge that Adam would make a mistake.

God placed them in a great position of trust and responsibility, and they had greater sense of this trust than we do because, they were without the inhibition of sin, that clouds the soul and the intellect God gave them the gift of free will to be faithful to Him or turn away from God`s grace, and they with full consent chose to be disobedient even though they knew that this carried severe consequences.
God could not have did it any other way or else He would have been a controlling God and not the God of love,it is not love when you constantly want to control another.

If He didn't allowed that then he wouldn't be God of love and freedom. A mistake could not cancel His love and the similarity that He gave to us

God gave us all, Adam and Eve too, free will, it was their free will to choose, but the serpent (satan) also had a finger in the pie

as done with Satan, Adm and Eve was given all instructions (do or not to do)and they had to choose, but not think that we are living now as a result of their mistake, this mistake was only a reason but going down to earth was a must result because our father adm was sent as a successor in earthto construct it, and it was the will of allah.

God gave us free will to act. This is how the good and bad in humans will show.
Make a mistake, get the punishment (hell). Behave yourself, get the reward (heaven).

Because they had a choice between God and self and didn't believe God, but chose to doubt him and believe the serpent.

Do you have children? If not, do you plan to have them someday? I ask because I would like to know if you want to be able to program your children like a robot so that they would have to obey every command you give them. Just think, you could have them tell you how much they love you as many times a day as you chose to make them say it. You could have them jump at your command and do all sorts of tricks. BUT....you would never have the joy of hearing them say I love you..because THEY WANTED TO!
You would never know the joy of knowing they did things you wanted them to do because they wanted to please you.
Well my friend..I want to shout out to my LORD I LOVE YOU...not for what I fear that HE can do...if I do not do this, but because I want to. In fact, if GOD never does another thing for me in this life time...He did enough 2,000 years ago on a hill called Mt Calvary. I will forever praise HIM for that....and I know that that does bring pleasure to HIM.
You too can know this...read the link below
