No. If I was not serious about marriage, I would not give my partner false hope. If anyone does that, they are not much of a person as they are only doing it for their own personal gain, & possibly stopping that person moving on with their life. Selfish.

If she's my partner and I joke about marriage, there's a good chance I am thinking about it one way or another. If I'm not her partner, it's more than likely me trying to be funny. I'm not likely to propose marriage to a relative stranger or ex.
