He's kinda old, but eats a healthy diet. Seems like he farts a lot more than he used to.

He (or you...lol) would likely benefit from a kibble with no corn, soy or beet pulp..those are the fartmakers..If he continues, after having a diet without those ingredients, then a spoon of yogurt over his food will aid in his complete digestion, so the food causes less gas..
Old dogs just don't digest as well as younger dogs...just like humans..
As a note to the above post.. You CAN safely change the kibble for an old dog..I changed the kibble I was feeding, and my old dogs became younger! Just gradually miix the new with the old, until within about 10 days, he is eating just the new..

There stomaches get more and more finicky w/ age. it is probably just his stomach trying to digest his food. If he appears to be in pain or is unable to have a bowel movement take him to the vet. You can get him breath treats that help the smell, or try changing his diet or limiting his treats.

My dog farted when we were in the vets waiting room everybody kept thinking it was me!.
i woulnt be worried unless his stools are loose cos you know wat happens when you run out of air!
