here is a very simple, environmentally friendly recipe for you. Go to the recycle bin and grab a section of day old newspaper. Take the paper firmly in your hands and roll counter clockwise in a tight, even roll. Crease the rolled paper to present a flat, even striking face for maximum effect and start whacking away at the little buggers.

Dish soap. It's what's recommended for use under plant leaves & such because is gives bugs diarrhoea & they die of dehydration. Litterally, they **** themselves to death. lol
