Firstly its a personal choice to have pets. Animals are also living beings & shd be part of a loving & caring family. At the same time, its sad tht there are so many starving kids in India & they shd also be supported. What I cant stand is tht ppl use pets as symbol of their status. They get good breeds, feed them pedigree food, even dress them up & so on - there are beauty parlors, spas & hotels for pets. Yea, sometimes I feel ppl shd not waste money on expensive things & instead give to poor.

If you are rich enough you can for sure afford them but personally looking towards humanity i would say no because i have seen by myself a small little kid probably 4-5 yrs old sitting in a heap of garbage( that was stinging soooooooo bad!) finding a piece of bread from it not to throw it to pets or play with it but he was soo hungry that he was eating it! Isnt't it a pity one can spend lakhs on a pet but not on a hopeless--homeless.choice is up to you.

yeah....but seeing the situation in india, the same money used to take care of a pet can be used to educate or fill the stomach of a poor child...think about that

so instead of buying a pet, which is expensive, u can do good for the society and help the country progress

Sure. In my mind pets are a gift from God. They bring you joy. They are meant to give you love and to receive your love.

Hungry children are a tragic thing and you should do whatever you can in order to help them when the opportunity to do so is there but, many times there just isn't a darn thing you can do about it.
