Pantene (smooth and sleek) is great for taming thick unruly hair and leaves it incredibly moisturised and shiny. The conditioner is an absolute must though!

I've got thick curly hair and I won't change this brand for any other.. been using it for 10 years now, despite trying numerous designer shampoos and conditioners.

I would recommend the Modern Organic Product range (MOP) It costs a little bit more but is only made with organic natural ingredients - they smell lovely (especially the orange one - it smells just like fresh fruit!) and work really well, people are always commenting on how shiny and soft my hair is and I colour it loads.
They do a different range for each hair type and special treatments to use every now and again - they do this great stuff called Glisten Shine Drops; you only need a tiny amount and smooth over your hair after styling - it finishes the look making hair sleek and shiny.
You can buy MOP either in selected salons or on-line (I think John Lewis sell it too). On-line is your best bet as there's no store mark up and they do deals/special offers. Have a look for yourself: http://www.mopproducts.com/
My hairdresser recommended it to me and I'd never use anything else now! Hope that helps!

Have you ever thought that our "daily" shampooing routine is induced by beauty companies in need of high sales fugures.

I shampoo only when I am in deep need of it. It happens quite often, two or more times a week after the gym when my hair is soaked in sweat. All other times - only water and conditioner.

I've been doing it for almost a year now and it made my hair much nicer.

Well there are so many brands of shampoo out there, but there are a few brands that many people use. Try asking your friends and so on or make a survey. That way, it is easier to decide which shampoo to use. Some brands are just there to fool you, so buy the brand that many people prefer.

I recommend using Aveda Damage Remedy if your hair is coloured and if it is natural then suggest you try Aveda Madder Root for red tones.
Not only is it fantastic for your hair it smells great and is totally natural. The Madder Root has a red tint that helps to maintain the colour
The colour conditioners are also amazing

Don't ask the things that others tell according to their experience. It may help you to some extend but the best way to find the most suitable shampoo for you is to visit your hairdresser.

I like London Drugs Macintosh Apple Shampoo but my wife found it too drying. She initially like Help Me Hydration from Clairol Herbal Essences but now says it is too greasy. I am quite fond of Down Under Naturals because it is fruity and sweet.

I use pantene for african americans. I am pretty sure they shampoo for caucasians. If you don't like it you know not to use it again. But I use so many different brands until I found that for natural hair for african americans. I really hope you find what you're looking for.
