Well, I am 18 years old, German and I never know when a guy likes me...Anyhow, mostly he will never leave you alone. In the States, it is no problem for a boy to ask a girl out for whatsoever...That is something, Germans don´t do so easily. Probably he won´t ask you out because he is too afraid/shy, cuz that´s not common here.
Please, let him enjoy his stay!!!Always rember that he is going to leave in about 10 months. I know the problem, I spent one year in Pennsylvania. I was totally freaked out when an American just came up to me asked me out! Something like that never happens to you in good ol' Germany. Not until you really know each other...

Trust me...if a German guy likes you, you'll likely have to call a cop to get him to leave you alone!!! The one thing German men are known for by American women(I'm an American guy in Germany at the moment), it's their inability to take subtle suggestions to buzz off!

Just because he is German doesnt mean he has a special way of showing his love, it doesnt matter where he is from :) Love is a language all its own. Does he stare at you alot? Flirt? Give compliments? Pay more attention to you then other people? Just talk to him and get to know him :) Everything will turn out good.
